Our Intro to Business Start-up is a basic course designed for those who are interested in starting a business, as well as those who have recently started a business.
Topics covered in this class
1. Types of Business Entity Structures and Which is Best for You:
We will compare the various business entities: Sole Proprietorship, General Partnership, Limited Liability Partnership, Single Member LLC, Sub-S Corporation, and Corporation. We will review the pros and cons of each, so the new business owner has a basic understanding of which type of business entity will work best for his or her particular circumstance.
2. Federal and State Filing Requirements for Starting Your Business
We review when and how to file for the type of business entity structure, how to file for your Federal Tax Identity Number, and other State filings, the various fees involved and the time it takes to get the business entity set up and ready to get started.
3. What's Next
We review what the various tax and other filings required by the State and Federal Government to keep the Business in good standing.
4. Q & A
We allow ample time and encourage each one in the class to ask questions relevant to this class and the topics discussed.
About the Course
This class takes 3 hours depending on the attendees and what questions they may have. We encourage each participant to ask questions and have a good understanding of the process and what to expect when starting a business.

1. A $35 non-refundable reservation/application fee is required upon submitting your application.
2. A $100 course fee is required upon arrival at the class or before.
Upon completion of the course, each attendee will receive a $100 coupon which can be applied toward the preparation of the first Federal Tax Preparation fee when we prepare the tax return. There are some limitations and requirements that apply - but basically, almost everyone who completes the course and starts a business with 12 months of completing this course is able to use the $100 credit when using our firm for the tax return preparation work.
